About Us

Variety Capital was launched in 2003 as a Third-Party Marketing boutique for funds and fund-of-hedge-funds. We have placed in excess of US$ 1bn in institutional investments for our first UCITS Fund - the Variety CKC Credit Opportunity Fund, two fund-of-hedge funds and a global macro fund. We have worked with qualified professional investors across non-US markets and have over 2500 institutional investor contacts.

UCITS fund structures are rightly regarded as the “gold standard” in asset management because of the transparency, security and liquidity they provide to investors. However, due to UCITS investment restrictions designed to protect investors, institutional UCITS allocators are seriously challenged to find funds that offer good risk-adjusted uncorrelated returns and downside protection. To help address this problem, we conducted a quantitative search of over 4000 funds that resulted in us launching our ICAV UCITS platform in partnership with leading US investment manager CKC Capital.

In November 2021, the first UCITS Fund was launched on the Variety Capital ICAV in partnership with CKC Capital, an over 2 Sharpe Ratio US credit Fund, called the Variety CKC Credit Opportunity Fund.

For Managers:

Our service enables managers to focus on investing for their existing clients, while leaving us to facilitate the winning of new clients from our network of relationships.

We identify relevant prospects from our leading UCITS investor database and work directly with decision-makers at institutional firms.

For Investors:

We gain a detailed understanding of each prospect’s allocation requirements and needs on an ongoing basis before approaching them with suitable solutions, introducing them to our investment manager partners for e-presentations and meetings.

We manage relationships with our decision-maker network across non-US markets, ensuring that each prospect receives all necessary distribution materials, arranging quarterly conference calls, financial PR, and investor seminars.
